We all like to watch the big game on Superbowl Sunday. On Tuesday the Las Vegas Metro Police department announced that there will be DUI checkpoints in place on the east side of Las Vegas. The checkpoint will take place on Boulder Highway and Mayorga Street according to Metro. Officers will be stopping vehicles between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

“These events usually go until about three in the morning,” said Lt. Leonard Marshall, “but we’re starting earlier to cover that party time.”

Dui Check Points will be in place to detect and arrest impaired drivers that may have had too much to drink and to prevent DUI related accidents.
